wow. Asana is FLYING. I never imagined that something on size US6 and 7 could knit up so fast, but I'm already up to the top band. whee! I hate garter rib, but it means I'm almost done! =D
in other news, I finally went to the library again for the first time in years, and checked out two knitting books. one is very old, and has both crochet and knit stitch patterns in it (which is cool, I crochet too). the other one is The Knitter's Bible by Claire Crompton. it's got some really nifty stitch patterns in it, and some reeeeally nice cable and lace patterns. plus helpful hints on how to do certain techniques and such. quite nice. I wouldn't want to buy it, but it was (for me) worth a few readthroughs and scribbling down some of the stitch patterns, so I'm glad the library had it.
whee! okay, back to knitting. =P

and an Asana in progress. my camera chewed it up so bad! oh well, it's really lovely and it's so much fun to knit, even though the endless stockinette seems like it ought to be a pain. I'm into the bodice increases now. the yarn is Lion Brand Cotton-Ease, which is really dreamy for me to work with as I've only ever used one other yarn that wasn't acrylic! such lovely drape... *drool*
